  • The Big Map-Out

The Big Map-Out is a science standards-based collaborative project that you can join with your class. After a successful first year, it is being adapted for older students as well. This program includes ongoing expert support from Agraria staff with student equity in mind and can be utilized at school or individually for children working at home. The goals of this program include: connecting children with their learning outdoors; providing breaks from technology; and including social-emotional learning as well as mindfulness. Our goal is to help support teachers, administrators, and staff!

Please contact daviddiamond@communitysolution.org for more information.

    Ecology Plot Studies

In this teacher-led study, students visit assigned Ecology Plots to collect data and observe their plots over time. Activities are aligned with standards for the appropriate grade level from 7-12. Teachers, with their students, may visit their plots weekly or monthly for the duration of one season or one school year.

At the end of the study period, students can use their Data Collection Sheets to write a research paper, graph weather data, and create a map of their plot.

Please contact educator Kat Christen at kchristen@communitysolution.org for more information.
